Welcome to the old Vote Number 1 Forum.
I'm starting this new thread hoping the Sammy Hagar fans from RedRocker.com stop by. The forum they have on Sammy's official page is lacking a lot of personality.
Let's talk.

Let me introduce myself. I'm StPeteRedHead on the RedRocker.com website.
I've been a member of this forum for three years now. We all met here as we were voting for the best Male vocalist of all time. I was voting for Steve Perry and the most active members were voting for Jon Bon Jovi. Freddy Mercury won the votes and was elected 'Number 1'.
The moderator of the site decided that he was unable to continue to maintain the page and the Jovi Gang saved this forum. They reset the page and transferred everything over. As you can see, it is set to Bon Jovi's favor; but after all, they are the ones that saved the page and they still use it regularly. There is plenty of room for us all here.
Ready for some rockin' conversations !!

RNR, cool new forum you have here.
... So what's the significance of the color RED as it relates to Sammy Hagar?

Did you know that I can't drive 55? I have hard time keeping it at 70, or within 10 mph of 70. I usually have to use the cruise control in my car or else I'll be well above 80 before I know it.

Thanks DB. I wanted to get a little something interesting up so the RedHeads that stop by can see what the format looks like. This is a great site.
Nice of you two to stop by.
DB... About RedRocker... I never heard an official explanation. I understand it's just because he likes the color and had the song 'Red' on his 2nd Solo album. And it just caught on. The image on the album cover is powerful.

Hi RNR. I don't know much about Sammy but I did like him with Van Halen. I have to say however I did like David Lee Roth better. Sorry! But, hey I am willing to learn about Sammy.

You would drive 55 if you were in VA. We have really strick speeding laws here! Lots of speed traps around. LOL!

Hello OJO, I loved DLR as well. But I was a Sammy Fan before he joined Van Halen. I remember when I heard the news that he was joining the band. I knew it was going to some thing special.
DLR is a Fabulous entertainer, but Sammy is a passionate artist. It was Three Lock Box and Standing Hampton that got me hooked. I love his voice.
I think the first song was 'I'll Fall in Love Again'
Also Check out My Scrapbook, Titled 'We Love Sammy'. I posted the video for 'Not Enough'. Love that song.
Sammy is just SO awesome with his fans! So Sexy!
Here's a video from Sammy's Birthday Party last October. I've gotta make it to Cabo! The Ultimate PARTY!

I will check the videos out when I get a bit more time. Right now I am working on a big project for my class that is due on Wednesday. It will probably take today and tomorrow for me to complete. After I finish it up I will have some time to myself.

Cool. Good Luck with your project. I've got a Calculus test on Wednesday. I've got a lot of prep work to finish by then.
Just a quick drive by here. I wanted to check to see if any RedHeads might have stopped by. I haven't gotten any responses from my post over @ redrocker.com.
Well, Gotta get up early for class in the morning. Good night!

so where do most of you all hang out in here? I am a Sammy/Van Halen/ CHICKENFOOT fan the most, but I really love all music. I see a lot of Bon Jovi stuff floating around these parts. I'm going to see them in a couple of weeks, I hope it is a good show. The last time they were here, I was a tad bit dissapointed.

Hello cabomighk,
Nice to see you here. I've been busy with classwork. Yeah... Spring Break.
The Jovi thread is the backbone of this site. We have spent the last 3 years getting to know each other. I have been very lucky to be able to meet some really great folks. I'm hoping this thread will be a great place for us RedHeads. I hope some of the other members make it over.
I'm sorry you couldn't post right away but Hannah was a sweetheart and expedited your status. I told her you were from the RedRocker site. She had quite the headache dealing with some spammers, so now the site is set to require a trial period. Keeps the page clean for us. They do a great job taking care of it.
It's great that you are going to see Bon Jovi. I'm sure it's gonna be a great show. When was the last one that you saw? I saw one of the shows at the Prudential in Newark and they didn't play any oldies. They were doing 10 shows in some many days. So they had a different theme almost every night. They did their new album... start to finish.
Well then.... WELCOME.... see you online!

It was on the "Lost Highway" tour. It just wasn't what I had hoped for I guess, I don't know. I've seen Bon Jovi everytime they've came to Salt Lake since high school. One of my friends is related to Hugh McDonald somehow. He live 20 min. away in Park City, but you probably know that. She says he is a nice guy and has offer to take my wife and I to a couple of little get togethers up at his place, but we haven't went. I will have to venture over to the Bon Jovi side sometime and check it out.
Going to see Sammy in two months and two days!

No... I'm not the diehard Jovi fan like the rest of the folks here. I was referred to this site from a Steve Perry page. This started out as a place to vote on stuff.. It was called Vote Number 1.com. So... we still call it VN1.
Anyway, We were voting on the best male singer of all time. I was voting for Steve Perry and the folks still here were voting for Jon Bon Jovi. Freddy Mercury won the poll. So there were a lot of Queen fans on the site for quite some time.
The Jovi fans seemed to be taking over the general forum. A few of the fans from other bands were getting cranky and kind of faded away. It's understandable.... Bon Jovi has been on tour since 2008. That gives his fans some thing to talk about.
I got to know RockMom and started to participate in the conversations instead of just lurking around. There about 20 of us regulars here that are getting to know each other.... establishing lifelong friendships.
Wow.... I really got off track.
About the Lost Highway Tour... yeah they really worked the new album. They did some of the old favories but I got bored when he was doing stuff off the new album. shhhh... don't tell the Jovi's. haha. My favorite Jovi tunes are 'Sleep when I'm Dead' and It's my Life'.
You're Going to see Sammy!!!! Are you going to Tahoe? I'm jealous. He never comes to Florida. I haven't seen him since 2004. Busy working! And now it's college. I'll be back on the road in May after Graduation. Maybe we will cross paths some where along the way.
